Box Score BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Alabama A&M (0-2, 0-0 SWAC) fell by a 6-1 score at Samford (1-5, 0-0 SoCon) in an NCAA Division I men's tennis match on Saturday, February 12.
 
Samford took the early lead in doubles as freshman Divesh Gahlot (Haryana, India) and junior Chang Yang (Koahsiung, Taiwan) fell 6-1 against Ali Bellalouna and Will Gray at No.2 while junior German Ruiz Crespo (Mollina, Spain) and Freddie Lawrence were defeated 6-2 by Yerrassyl Murat and Harrison Williams at No. 3.
 
Senior Rodrigo Arana Rios (Playa Del Carmen, Mexico) and Vence Ntcha were defeated 6-3 by Jim Hendrikx and Eladio Fabregas at No. 1.
 
After a competitive doubles portion, SU wasted no time during singles as Gahlot fell 6-1, 6-2 to J.B Pickard at No.4 and Arana Rios was also defeated 6-2, 6-1 by Bellalouna at No. 2. Lawrence was defeated 7-6, 6-0 by Pickard at No. 5 while Yang battled on before falling 6-3, 7-5 to Williams at No. 6.
 
Two of the Bulldogs most impressive performances came from Ntcha as he fell 7-6, 6-3 against Hendrikx at No.1. and Mulada who fought through three sets against Murat 7-5, 6-2 b and won 3-6, 6-3, 6-3 in the third spot.
 
 Alabama A&M will return to the court on Friday, February 25 at Jacksonville State. First serve is set for 11 a.m.
