HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Alabama A&M men's tennis (0-2, 0-0 SWAC) and women's tennis (3-4, 3-0 SWAC) return to action as they head to Oxford, Alabama for matches against Jacksonville State (
M: 3-2, 0-0 ASUN,
W: 2-5, 0-0 ASUN) on Friday, February 26.
The following day the women will host recent Division I transitional team St. Thomas at the Huntsville Tennis Center. First serve is set for 1 p.m. with the JSU matches both set for 11 a.m. The men enter their match following a 6-1 defeat at Samford back on February 12. Meanwhile, the Gamecocks won 7-0 against Wallace State on the same day.
AAMU's women's are coming off a 7-0 victory over Bethune Cookman on February 20 while Jacksonville State dropped a 5-2 decision to Alabama-Birmingham on February 19.
The meeting with St. Thomas will be the first for the program as the Tommies, recently removed from their NCAA Division III conference for their level of success, have received an exemption to move up to Division I and are members of The Summit League.
