BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Following a strong regular season, Alabama A&M women's bowling
Montaya Walton has earned a spot on the 2022 All-Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Second-Team as announced by the league on Monday, February 14.
The honor was the first time an Alabama A&M bowler received the honor since 2015 and is in select company as it makes her just the seventh player to earn a spot on the Second-Team.
MONTAYA WALTON – SECOND-TEAM
This season Walton lead the Bulldogs by being the top performer placing 9-of-55 with a pinfall average of 194.14 and a high of 224 at the SWAC East Regional Bowling Championships. Her performance helped the Bulldogs defeat Texas Southern 913-866.
Walton also dominated for the Bulldogs, finishing 14-of-50 with a pinfall average of 174.50 and a high of 204 at the SWAC West Bowling Classic.
One of her best performances came at the Columbia 300 Music City Bowling Classic that included at least 15 National ranked teams. She finished 83-of-203 with a pinfall average of 184.60 and a high of 225.
