th to an eighth place finish out of the field of 50 competitors, shooting a 74-74-72-220 to lead A&M. While the freshman's overall performance was impressive, senior
Jason Johnson (Toledo, Ohio) delivered the third lowest score of the round with a two-under Par 70. He finished tied for 24
th with an 80-80-70-230 to round out the top performances.
Howard pulled out a narrow one stroke victory with a score of 882, just ahead of Chicago State (883) while Arkansas-Pine Bluff (894), Alabama State (894) and Florida A&M (596) rounded out the top five.
Alabama A&M has now closed out a 2021-22 campaign that featured 11 tournaments, the program's first All-Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) selection in eight years and a berth in the PGA Collegiate Championship, which took just 10 Division I teams nationally.
