Alabama A&M Women's Soccer Kicks Off 2022 At College of Charleston

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Alabama A&M (0-0, 0-0 SWAC) opens defense of their 2021 Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Regular Season Co-Championship as they up the level of competition with a trip to College of Charleston (0-0, 0-0 CAA) on Thursday, August 18. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. under the lights at Lundy Field at Patriots Point.

Cougars and Bulldogs have gotten together before but never when both were wearing the Maroon of the College of Charleston and Alabama A&M. The two programs will tangle for the first time in program history when they meet in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina.

CofC comes into the season after going 3-12-0 overall and 2-6-1 in the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) while A&M claimed a share of the SWAC Championship with a 10-8-1 record and sterling 8-1-0 mark in league play. The latter advanced to the semifinals of the tournament for the first time since 2008.
