HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Alabama A&M men's golf returns to the course to begin the 2022-23 campaign as they head to the Howard-USF Intercollegiate for 54 holes from September 26-27. That tournament will be played in Potomac, Maryland at TPC Potomac at Avenel Farm and will feature 54 competitors.
In addition to the Bulldogs and host Howard, this year's tournament will feature Maryland, Virginia Commonwealth, Georgetown, George Washington, Towson, San Francisco and Alabama State.
Located 20 miles from the nation's capital, TPC Potomac was a regular stop on the PGA Tour for years, including hosting the Kemper Open, FBR Capital Open and Booz Allen Classic. The course was renovated in 2008 under the direction of PGA Tour Design Services, resulting in natural rolling terrain, bentgrass tees and Scottish-style bunkering. This year's tournament will be a Par 70 at 6,911 yards.
Among those representing the Bulldogs will be graduate
Jason Johnson (Toledo, Ohio), junior
Felipe Gomez (Bogota, Columbia), sophomores
BK Kim (Winter Garden, Fla.) and
Fabian Sanchez Torres (Bogota, Colunbia) and freshman Emilio Angel.
