JACKSON, Miss. – Looking to sweep their first conference road trip, Alabama A&M women's basketball team will face their toughest Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) test so far as take on Jackson State inside of the Williams Athletic & Assembly Center on Monday, January 9, with tip-off scheduled for at 5:30 p.m.

Alabama A&M (5-8, 3-0 SWAC) aims to continue their strong play to start the new year, after starting 3-0 in conference play for the first time under head coach
Margaret Richards. The Bulldogs are averaging 65 points per game during the win streak and holding their opponents to 56.8, while also looking for their fourth win away from home on the season.
Jackson State (5-7, 2-0 SWAC) is also coming in unbeaten in SWAC play, after playing a very tough non-conference schedule. The Tigers have won three straight and have won both of their games at home this season.

- During the current four-game win streak, the Bulldogs have outshot their opponents in all three phases, shooting 43.5 percent from the field, 36.8 percent from three-point range, and 78 percent from the free throw line. Meanwhile, they are holding opponents to just 36.8 percent from the field, 24.1 percent from three and 61.2 percent from the charity stripe.
- Five scorers have averaged over seven points over the four games, including Amani Free (Clay, N.Y.) and Toni Grace (Fishers, Ind.) at 14.3 and 11.3 points per game respectively. Next is Amiah Simmons (Osawatomie, Kan.) and Taylor Smith (Fosters, Ala.) at 9.8 points per game each, followed by Jayla Cody (Valdosta, Ga.) at 7.8 points per contest.
- Alabama A&M is looking to end a three-game slide against Jackson State and defeat the Tigers for the first time since a 75-71 win in March of 2020, inside Elmore Gymnasium. The Bulldogs have not won in Jackson since March 5, 2011.
