HUNTSVILLE, Ala. | The Alabama A&M University volleyball team extended their winning streak to six matches after sweeping Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) opponent Bethune-Cookman 3-0 on Friday Night at T.M Elmore Gymnasium.
The Bulldogs (7-16 overall, 6-3 SWAC) claimed the match with scores of 27-25, 25-18, and 25-23.
Alabama A&M finished with 49 kills in 100 total attacks, 34 digs, 45 assists, and three total blocks.
Samaurya Malone,
Bailey Duckett, and Saldy-Amparo Smith led the Bulldogs with 11 kills each.
Mackenzie Jefferson posted 21 assists, while
Grace Tapscott added 19. Defensively,
Michell Jerez led the digs category with 12.
Bethune-Cookman (3-17, 3-6) finished with 37 kills in 89 total attacks, 30 digs, 35 assists, and five total blocks.
Mia Delahoussaye led the Wildcats with 11 kills. Madison Coates dished out 19 assists, while Alisha Callender added 14. Elizabeth Phillips and Essence Bell both registered seven digs.
