PINE-BLUFF, Ark. | The Alabama A&M University volleyball team came into the weekend with one victory and walked away from Sunday's Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Cluster with a pair of five-set wins, defeating Arkansas-Pine Bluff and Grambling State, 3-2, at the H.O. Clemens Arena.

Scores: 21-25, 25-13, 25-20, 24-26, 15-11
Saldy Amparo-Smith, who hit .450, paced the Alabama A&M offense with a double-double of 19 kills and 11 digs in the five-set win.
Grace Tapscott and
Mackenzie Jefferson recorded 24 and 23 assists, respectively.
Michell Jerez led the defense with 16 digs, followed by
Kemora Coachman (13) and Jefferson (12).
The Bulldogs (3-16 overall, 2-3 SWAC) 62 kills in 180 total attacks, with 85 digs and seven block solos.
Arkansas Pine-Bluff tallied 52 kills and hit .136. In addition, the Golden Lions recorded 72 digs and had eight total blocks.
Zykia Jones led UAPB with a double-double of 22 kills and 17 digs. Anaiah Jordan had 22 assists.

Scores: 25-21, 22-25, 17-25, 26-24, 15-12
It was a back-and-forth affair between AAMU and GSU, but the Bulldogs prevailed, winning in five sets.
Amparo-Smith led the way offensively with 20 kills. Tapscott added a team-high 19 assists. While Jerez registered 12 digs.
The Bulldogs finished with 54 kills in 173 total attacks, with 54 digs, 46 assists, and 9.0 total team blocks. The Tigers recorded 58 kills and hit .158 in the five sets.
Grambling State registered 58 kills, 72 digs, 47 assists and nine total blocks.
Zyonn Smith registered a double-double of 24 kills and 17 digs, while Kai Williams added 13 kills. Ana Calderon chipped in 25 assists and Jaida Felix dished out 18 assists. Defensively, Nyah Ellis and Alyssa Pieh recorded 19 and 10 digs, respectively.
