SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. __ Alabama A&M men's golf concluded play at the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate event on Tuesday evening, earning an 11th-place finish in the 14-team competition.
After an opening day 299 and 311 on day two, the program shot a final round 321 to close out play in 11th ending with a 67-over-par 931 over the three-day span. The Bulldogs ended day one in ninth before falling two spots, slightly ahead of Chicago State at 937, while finishing behind Evansville with a 910 three-round total.
A pair of players landed in the top 50 individually, with
Niall Bagnall and
Felipe Gomez Lopez both tying for 43rd at 11-over 227 after shooting a 78 and 79 respectively on day three.
Jason Johnson was next for the Bulldogs with a 83 on the final day for a total of 237, followed by
Kim Byeongkwan who finished with a shot total of 247.
Alabama A&M will return to play at the end of the month, as they will travel to compete in the North Carolina A&T Invitational starting on Monday, March 27. The two-day event will be held at the Bryan Park Golf Club in Greensboro.
