Box Score HUNTSVILLE, Ala. __ In its first conference tennis match of the spring, Alabama A&M played strong from start to finish in a 5-0 sweep of Mississippi Valley State on Wednesday morning.
 
The Bulldogs (1-1) didn't drop a set against the Delta Devils, two days after falling to Troy 7-0.
 
Sophomore 
Freddie Lawrence was the first to finish his singles match at the Alabama A&M Tennis Courts with a win at No. 5, followed by 
German Ruiz Crespo at No. 6 to give the Bulldogs an early lead.
 
Devish Gahlot was the next to finish, earning a straight set win (6-0, 6-0) on court three, while 
Yin Chih Lan also won 6-0, 6-0 on court two to conclude the dominance displayed by the Bulldogs on the day.
 
Alabama A&M started the day by sweeping the doubles point, with Gahlot and Lawrence teaming up to earn a win on Court 1. 
Chetanna Amadike and Lan along with 
Vence N'Tcha and 
Lebogang Mashego secured sweeps on courts two and one respectively.
 
The Bulldogs are away from home for the next two matches this weekend, as they face Prairie View A&M, and Alcorn State over the weekend in Montgomery at the Olean Black Underwood Tennis Center.
