NORMAL, Ala. | Victoria Mealing scored the tying goal with three minutes remaining, but the Alabama A&M University women's soccer team could not hold on as UT-Martin scored the game-winner with 13 seconds left as the Skyhawks escaped with a 2-1 victory on Thursday afternoon at the AAMU Soccer Field.
UT-Martin (3-4-1) grabbed a 1-0 lead with six minutes left in the first half as Carolina Moore assisted on Rachel Okoro's goal.
The Skyhawks kept the slim lead until the final five minutes when Mealing scored on an assist from Anouck Heyer in the 87th minute.
However, the Bulldogs (0-6) could not hold on as Catey Hunt converted a penalty kick with 13 seconds remaining, giving UT-Martin the 2-1 victory.
