Tanksley Records Five Saves Against Charleston Southern

CHARLESTON, S.C. | Alabama A&M University goalkeeper Madalynn Tanksley recorded five saves, but it wasn't enough as the Bulldogs fell to Charleston Southern, 2-0, on Saturday afternoon.

Charleston Southern (5-2-2) broke the 0-0 tie in the 17th minute as Madisen Mitchum assisted on Lauren McDonald's goal as the Bucs grabbed a 1-0 advantage. 

The score remained 1-0 until the 90th minute when Lilly Walker sealed the Charleston Southern victory with a goal, off an assist by Clair Deangelis, and extending the lead to 2-0. 
 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE 

  • Madalynn Tanksley played all 90 minutes in goal, finishing with five saves for AAMU  
  • Jenna Moran started in goal for CSU, playing 45 minutes and did not record a save 
  • Sara Curtis tallied a pair of saves in the second half for the Bucs 
  • Alabama A&M registered five shots, with two on goal 
  • Charleston Southern recorded 19 shots, including seven on target 
  • The Bucs held an 8-1 advantage in corner kicks
