WASHINGTON, D.C. | Amelia Barber scored a second-half goal, but it wasn't enough to overcome a two-goal deficit as the Alabama A&M University women's soccer team fell, 3-1, to Howard on Thursday afternoon at Greene Stadium.

Howard, which outshot the Bulldogs, 12-2 in the opening half, broke the scoreless time in the 21
st minute as Kyra Bolden beat AAMU goalkeeper
Madalynn Tanksley with a shot to the lower left corner as the Bison grabbed a 1-0 lead.

The Bison, who registered seven shots on goal in the first half, doubled the scoreline in the 43
rd minute as Bolden and Rachel Asare assisted in Nyla Allen's goal.

Alabama A&M (0-8) cut the deficit in half, 2-1, in the 53
rd minute as

Amelia Barber, who slotted her shot to the lower left corner and past HU goalkeeper Trinity Knox for the goal.

However, the Bison (7-2-1) sealed the victory in the 87
th minute as Laila Cowsette assisted on Bolden's second goal of the game as Howard extended the advantage to 3-1.
