Alabama A&M currently has six former men's basketball players who are currently playing professional basketball. 
 
Experienced Obie Trotter (6-4-PG-1984, played in 2002-06, plays pro in Iceland) led Hottur to a three-point victory against the third-ranked Thor Thorl (10-5), 92-89, in the Icelandic Subway League last Thursday. He scored 15 points, dished out five assists, with three steals in 35 minutes. Hottur Egilsstadir (8-7) is placed seventh in the Subway League. Trotter has relatively good stats this year 12.0 ppg., 3.3 rpg., 3.1 apg. and 2.0 spg. in 15 games he played so far. He is a naturalized Hungarian. 
 
Xavier Brewer (6-9-F/C-1986, played in 2022-23, currently in Azerbaijan) managed to help Xirdalan BK Baku in a victory against the league leader Sabah (10-2), 107-103, in a derby game in the Azerbaijani ABL in Wednesday night's game. Brewer scored only recorded one point in nine minutes on the court. Xirdalan BK Baku (7-5) is placed fifth in the ABL. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. They will play only one more game in the regular season. It's Brewer's first season with the team, posting 14.6 ppg., 6.6 rpg., 1.4 apg. and 1.5 spg. in 12 games. He is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market.
 
Desmond Jackson (6-1-G-1992, played in 2006-06, plays pro in Japan) could not help Yamaguch Pats Five (11-21) in their last game on Sunday. Despite his very good performance, Yamaguch Pats Five was defeated, 87-80, on the road by the higher-ranked Tachikawa (#8). Jackson was the second-best scorer with 19 points. He also added six boards, handed out three passes and blocked two shots. It's Jackson's first season with the team, averaging 11.6 ppg., 5.4 rpg., 1.2 apg. and 2.1 bpg.
