THE HILL | For the first time during the Division I era, the Alabama A&M University men's basketball team reached the century mark in back-to-back games as the Bulldogs used a strong second half to pull away for a 103-57 win over Arkansas Baptist on Monday night at the AAMU Event Center.

Alabama A&M (2-0) led 54-35 at the break and scored 49 second-half points in cruising to its second consecutive win. The Bulldogs opened the season last week with a 121-78 win over Oakwood.

AC Bryant paced Alabama A&M with 14 points, two assists and one board, while
Chad Moodie added 13 points, eight boards, two blocks and one steal.
London Riley also got into double figures with 13 points and two assists.

Nataniel Braden led Arkansas Baptist with 14 points, three assists, two blocks and one rebound, while Deavon Bankston chipped in 12 points, six boards, two assists, two blocks and pair of steals.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Bulldogs raced out to a 9-4 advantage after a Moodie layup with just under 16 minutes to play in the opening half
- AAMU stretched the advantage to 18-10 after free throws by Eric Lee with 12:58 left
- The Buffaloes continued to keep the game close as Deavon Bates drained a triple, closing the gap to 20-16 with just over 12 minutes left in the half
- The Bulldogs used an 11-3 run over a four-minute stretch as Darius Ford and Lorenzo Downey drained 3-pointers and AC Bryant accounted for five points during run, including an explosive dunk, as AAMU extended the lead to 40-21 with 6:37 left
- Arkansas Baptist continued to hang around, but Alabama A&M got a 3-pointer by Jaylen Colon right before the break and took a 54-35 advantage into the half
- A layup by Braden closed the gap to 61-43 with 14:27 remaining
- However, that would be as close as the Buffaloes would get as Alabama A&M ended the game on a 42-14 run to pull away for the win

- Alabama A&M shot 55.9 percent (38-of-68) from the floor and 53.6 percent (15-of-28) from the free-throw line
- The Bulldogs grabbed 46 rebounds, with 21 coming on the offensive glass
