MONTGOMERY, Ala. | The Alabama A&M University women's tennis team put together its second consecutive win on Sunday with a 4-0 sweep in Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) play over Bethune-Cookman at the Olean Black Underwood Tennis Center.
Alabama A&M (2-4 overall, 2-1 SWAC) went 2-1 over the weekend with SWAC wins over Grambling State and Bethune-Cookman after falling on Friday to Southern.
The Bulldogs picked up the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 3.
The team of
Ntokozo Zungu and
Ariadna Ondo Cerezo defeat Janet Imbo Nloga and Tuhina Sambhus, 6-4, at No. 1 and
Hannah Nagpall and
Sofia Sotelo Raya blanked Loncey Elie and Courdeja Clark, 6-0, at No. 3.
Alabama A&M sealed the match with victories at No. 6, No. 5 and No. 1.
At No. 6, Ondo Cerezo swept Clark, 6-0, 6-0 and Sotelo Raya defeated Elie, 6-0, 6-0 at No. 5. Zungu completed the sweep at No. 1 Imbo, 6-0, 6-2.

Alabama A&M will have its 2024 home opener on Friday, March 1 as the Bulldogs play host to Tennessee State. First serve is set for 12 p.m. from the AAMU Tennis Courts.
