JACKSON, Miss. | The Alabama A&M University men's tennis team continues to remain unbeaten in Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) play as the Bulldogs swept Prairie View A&M, 4-0, late Sunday and concluded the SWAC Pod with a 4-0 win over Alcorn State on Monday at the JSU Tennis Courts.
Against PVAMU, Alabama A&M (4-5 overall, 3-0 SWAC) won the doubles point with victories at No. 1 and No. 3.
The team of Vence N'Tcja amd Arnarv Pathange defeated Diego Hatem and Ed Nunez Flores, 6-2, at No. 1 and at No. 3, the team of
Kai Cowcher and
Freddie Lawrence won, 6-1, over Jaydn Boone and Omari Dudley.
AAMU completed the sweep with victories at No. 4, No. 5 and No. 6.
Pathange blanked Xavier Peter-Gooding, 6-0, 6-0, at No. 4, while Cowcher won by the same score over Boone at No. 5. At No. 6, Lawrence beat Ryan Boone, 6-0, 6-1.
On Monday, Alabama A&M won the doubles point, despite dropping the set at No. 1.
In singles play, Lawrence won, 6-0, 6-0 over Noah Kiani at No. 6, while Amadike bested David Leon at No. 2, 6-2, 6-2. At No. 1, N'Tcha sealed the victory with a 6-3, 6-4 win over Nikoa Kijac.
