FLOWOOD, Miss. | Samuel Boddie jumped up four spots and shot a final round even par as he finished tied for 13th during the final round of the 2024 Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Men's Golf Tournament as Alabama A&M finished sixth on Wednesday at The Refuge Golf Club.
Boddie shot 1 over during the first round and fired a 78 during the second round, but carded an even-par 72 on the final day for a 223 to finish tied for 13
th to pace Alabama A&M.
Bryson Hannah fired a 71 during the first day, but carded back-to-back 79s to finish 23
rd with a 229.
Niall Bagnall placed 24
th with a 233, while
Kourey Patterson recorded a 234 and finished tied for 25
th. Juan Rey rounded out the team scoring, shooting a 246 and placed 29
th.
Arkansas-Pine Bluff's Jose Berenguel was the individual medalist, shooting a 1-over-par 73 during the final round and shot a 212 for the three rounds to win by four strokes.
Alabama A&M finished with a three-round total of 919 to place sixth as Arkansas-Pine Bluff won the championship with an 873. Florida A&M jumped out three spots to finish second with an 882, followed by Alabama State (883), Prairie View A&M (887) and Texas Southern (893). Southern finished seventh with a 1,093.
