CHARLESTON, S.C. | Jasmine Perez-Acosta netted an early goal for the Alabama A&M University women's soccer team, but the Bulldogs surrendered two first-half goals in falling, 2-1, to Charleston Southern on Saturday at the CSU Soccer Field.

Alabama A&M (2-7) opened the scoring in the fourth minute when Perez-Acosta found the back of the net off an assist by
Alicia Cohen as the Bulldogs took a 1-0 lead.

However, Charleston Southern (3-3-2) tied the game at 1 on a penalty kick by Daniela Contreras in the 28
th minutes.

The score remained 1-1 until the 41
st minute as Kyia Tucker and Gianna Simon assisted on Danika Birch's goal as the Bucs grabbed a 2-1 advantage.
