RICHMOND, Ky. | The Alabama A&M University men's golf team opened its fall schedule at the Colonial Shootout on Saturday and Sunday at The University Club at Arlington as the Bulldogs finished 12
th after firing a 919 during the three-round tournament.
 
The Bulldogs carded a 313 during the opening round and a 299 in the second before shooting a 307 on Sunday's final round. Host Eastern Kentucky won the Shootout, firing an 828, while Samford finished second at 846. Robert Morris was third with an 854, followed by West Georgia (856), Kentucky State (871), Evansville (871), Detroit Mercy (875), Mercyhurst (885), Canisius (887), Chicago State (903) and Tennessee State (915).
 
Samuel Boddie paced Alabama A&M, shooting 10 over. The Ocoee, Fla. native carded 2-over par 71 during the opening round and 3 over in the second round before finishing with a 223 to finish tied for 50
th. Niall Bagnell placed 60
th (227), followed by 
Kourey Patterson (234) and Fabian Sanchez (235) rounded out the individual scoring.
 
Vanderbilt's Ben Loomis and Eastern Kentucky's Connor Gdovin were individual medalist after shooting 7 under.
