THE HILL | The team of
Yin Chih Lan and
Juwan Bae captured the doubles title as the Alabama A&M University men's tennis team competed over the weekend at the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Men's Tennis Fall Tournament at the AAMU Tennis Courts.
Lan and Bae brought home the doubles crown as the team defeated Alcorn State's Sebastian Griffiths and Matthew Holl, 8-4, in the semifinals, before defeating Vid Maric and Gordan F. Mileusmic, 7-6, 7-6, to win the championship.
In singles action,
Arnav Pathange continued his strong fall campaign, defeating Holl in the quarterfinals, 6-1, 6-3. He came from behind to defeat Eloi Rouz, of Alabama State, in the semifinals, 2-6, 6-3, 6-2.
In the singles final, Pathange fell to Alabama State's Milan Ristov, 6-3, 3-6, 6-1.
Alabama A&M closes out its fall season Oct. 9-14 at the ITA Regionals, held at the University of Alabama.
