FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS, Ill. | The Alabama A&M University women's bowling team went 1-11 and finished 15
th at the Bearcat Invitational this past weekend at St. Clair Lanes.
The Bulldogs faced off against No. 15 McKendree, Marian, Jackson State, Central Missouri, No. 21 Valparaiso, No. 24 Oklahoma Christian, Newman, Western Illinois, No. 20 Wright State, No. 10 Maryville and Southern.
On Friday, AAMU went 1-4 in the baker series games, losing to McKendree (1,019-799), Marian (879-821), Jackson State (923-823) and Central Missouri (948-871). The lone Bulldog win came against No. 21 Valparaiso, 849-820.
On Saturday, Alabama A&M went 0-5 in the traditional series games, falling to Oklahoma Christian (985-923), Newman (973-848), Western Illinois (879-807), Wright State (957-823) and Maryville (966-883).
Megan Whorton led the Bulldogs with the highest game of 217.
AAMU concluded the weekend with a bye match and a loss to Southern in the baker format, 4-2.
