BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | The Alabama A&M University men's golf team shot an opening-round 13-over-par 301 and is third after the first round of the 2025 Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Men's Fall Tournament on Tuesday at Oxmoor Valley Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail.
 
The Bulldogs are just six shots back of leaders Prairie View A&M, which carded a 7-over-par 295. Arkansas-Pine Bluff is second (299), while Jackson State sits in fourth (314).
 
Vicente Rodriguez, Noa Tissot and Kourey Patterson are tied for fourth after shooting a 3-over-par 75. Lukas Lange and Samuel Boddie are just one shot back, firing 76s. 
 
Prairie View A&M's Kenneth Melendrez is the lone golf under par, shooting a 71. Marshall Blake Meredith (PVAMU) is second at even par, while UAPB's Jules De Reu is third at 2-over 74.
