BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | Alabama A&M University senior guard
Sami Pissis was selected the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Men's Basketball Impact Player of the Week, the conference announced on Wednesday.
Pissis was named to the Bulldog Bash All-Tournament Team after helping Alabama A&M to wins over Charleston Southern and Lindenwood. The Paris, France native posted 32 points, 10 assists, seven boards and five steals in the two games. He registered 19 points, on 7-of-12 shooting, with four assists, three rebounds and a pair of steals in a 74-65 win versus Lindenwood.
Texas Southern's Troy Hupstead was named the SWAC's Player and Newcomer of the Week.
Alabama A&M returns to action on Friday, Nov. 28 as the Bulldogs visit Clemson. Tip-off against the Tigers is set for 6 p.m. (central) from Littlejohn Coliseum and streamed on ACC Network Extra.
