BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | Alabama A&M University redshirt senior guard
Kintavious Dozier was selected the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Men's Basketball Player of the Week, the conference announced on Wednesday.
Dozier paced the Bulldogs offense in games against Clemson and Coastal Carolina. He averaged 14.0 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game and shot 12-of-24 (50.0 percent) from the floor. The Lanett, Ala. native was 8-of-14 shooting and finished with 18 points, three steals and two boards in a 67-60 loss to Coastal Carolina.
Alabama State's Asjon Anderson earned the SWAC's Impact Player of the Week honor, while Mississippi Valley State's Michael James received the SWAC Newcomer of the Week award.
Alabama A&M return to action tonight as the Bulldogs play host to Tennessee State. Tip-off against the Tigers during Neon Lights Night is set for 7 p.m. and streamed on SWAC TV.
