Travaunta Abner continued to add on to his postseason accolades as he was invited to play in the 2026 Allstate HBCU Legacy Bowl on Saturday, Feb. 21 at Tulane University's Yulman Stadium in New Orleans, La.
Abner, a First Team All-Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) and HBCU College Football All-American selection, was a huge asset to the Bulldogs' passing game this season, catching 35 passes for 380 yards, along with three touchdowns.
He averaged 10.9 yards per catch and 38.0 yards per game. In addition, the Lanett, Ala. native 104 receiving yards, including a game-sealing 21-yarder in a 23-21 victory over Tennessee State. Abner also recorded a season-high nine catches for 102 yards at Bethune-Cookman.
