THE HILL | Charles Morris drew a bases-loaded walk, scoring
AJ Anderson from third as the Alabama A&M University baseball team won Game 2 of the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) series against Mississippi Valley State, 12-11, with a walk-off win over the Delta Devils on Saturday afternoon from the Bulldog Baseball Field.

HOW IT HAPPENEDÂ
Mississippi Valley State (4-9 overall, 0-5 SWAC) struck for two runs on two hits in the top of the first inning to grab an early 2-0 lead.
Â
Alabama A&M (7-15, 2-3) responded in the bottom of the inning with a pair of runs, tying the game at 2.
Â
Trey Rutledge struck out but reached on a passed ball.
AJ Anderson drew a walk and
Kylan Duncan brought Rutledge across with a ground out to the second baseman. After a walk to
Charles Morris,
Dre Amaral singled up the middle, scoring Anderson to tie the game.

The Delta Devils answered in the second with four runs, highlighted by a three-run homer to left by Jace Jones, taking a 6-2 advantage.

The Bulldogs closed the gap to 6-4 with a pair of runs in the bottom of the inning.

Elvis Victoriano drew a base on balls to begin the frame and scored on
Angel Rivera's double to left center. Rutledge followed with a perfect bunt down the third base line as Rivera stopped at third.
AJ Anderson brought Rivera across with a sacrifice fly to right.

AAMU cut the deficit to 6-5 in the third with one run as Morris and Amaral drew back-to-back walks to open the inning. With two outs, Rivera plated Morris with a single to center.

Mississippi Valley State got a run back in the fourth, pushing the advantage to 7-5.

The Bulldogs tied the game at 7, plating two runs in the bottom of the fifth as Amaral opened with a single and scored on an
Isaac Castro triple to left center. Castro scored on Victoriano's base hit down the left field line.

Alabama A&M used the long ball to take a 10-7 lead in the sixth as Morris crushed a two-run homer deep over the wall in right and
Isaac Castro belted a solo home run over the wall in left.

The Delta Devils took advantage of an error in the eighth, with one run to close the gap to 10-8.

Mississippi Valley State grabbed an 11-10 lead with three runs in the top of the ninth, but AAMU answered in the bottom of the frame as Rutledge drew a walk, stole second and scored on an
AJ Anderson base hit to left. Â Duncan was intentionally walked and
Desmore Joseph was hit by a pitch to load the bases with two outs. Morris drew the walk on four balls to bring home Anderson for the game-winning run for the 12-11 victory.
