AUBURN, Ala. | Though the Alabama A&M men's tennis team claimed the doubles point, they were unable to use the momentum in the singles session, and ultimately fell to Auburn University 4-1 on Saturday evening.
The Tigers quickly claimed court two, but Yin Chih Lan and Agustin Marquez won court three, taking a 6-4 win over AU's duo of Nicholas Heng and Hamza Nasridinov. The doubles point came down to the opening court. The Bulldog pair of Kai Cowcher and Tasso Moreira ultimately emerged victorious, winning in a 7-5 tie breaker.
Playing from behind, the Tigers claimed the first set on all six courts. Auburn won courts five, four, three and two to take the 4-1 win, though Freddie Lawrence was ahead 5-2 in the second set on court six before the stoppage.
