MONTGOMERY, Ala. | In their first match of the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Tennis Pod II, the Alabama A&M men's tennis team swept the Prairie View A&M Panthers 4-0 on Saturday afternoon.

The Bulldog duo of Yin Chih Lan and Agustin Marquez took a quick 6-0 victory on court two of the dual's session. Goran Krivokapic and Arnav Pathange followed suit, securing a 6-2 win over PVAMU's Omari and Tafari Dudley to secure the doubles point in favor of the Maroon and White.

Needing just three to clinch, the Bulldogs claimed the first set on five of the six courts. Freshman Agustin Marquez was first to add a tally in singles play, knocking off Ashton Bunch in double breadstick fashion on court six (6-1, 6-1). On court two, Lan defeated Abdulraheem Isa 6-3, 6-1 to bring the match within one of the finish. Kai Cowcher was ahead 5-4 in the second set on court one, but it was ultimately his doubles partner, Tasso Moreira at singles four who clinched the win for AAMU, topping the Panthers' Xavier Peter-Gooding in a 6-2, 7-5 decision.
