JACKSON, Miss. | The Alabama A&M men's tennis team (1-7, 1-0 SWAC) earned their first victory of the season after sailing past the Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils 4-0 on Thursday Afternoon.

The Maroon and White claimed the doubles point for the first time this season. Yin Chih Lan and Agustin Marquez picked up a win at No. 3 doubles due to an MVSU forfeiture. Just needing one point to take the 1-0 lead, Arnav Pathange and Goran Krivokapic blanked Dylan Barber and Blessed Kutyauripo to give the Bulldogs control of the duel.

With only four players eligible to play, MVSU forfeited courts five and six to put AAMU within one of the clinch. Though the Bulldogs won the first set at each of the remaining courts, it was Tasso Moreira to claim the match for Alabama A&M after a double bagel against Blessed at fourth singles.
