Bagnall Tied for Fifth after Second Round

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | Niall Bagnall was 4 over and fell to a two-way tie for fifth after the second round of the 2025 Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Men's Golf Championship on Tuesday at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at Oxmoor Valley.
 
Bagnall began the round in a tie for third place, but slipped two spots after carding a 4-over-par 76. He recorded three birdies, three bogies and one double bogey during the second day of play.
 
Boddie, who was tied for ninth after the opening day, fired a 4-over-par 76 in the second round and slips two spots to a tie for 11th. He registered three birdies, three bogies and one double bogey in the round.
 
Lukas Lange struggled during his second round, carding an 84.
 
Lange entered the day seven back of the leaders and tied for 13th, but now is tied for 26th after the round.
 
Kourey Patterson sits in 29th place, after carding an 81 during the second round, while Cornelious Brown IV shot an 85 and is 35th.
 
Florida A&M's Miguel Ilas, the Round 1 leader, sits in a four-way tie atop the individual leaderboard, shooting a two-round 146, along with Southern's Thomas Reid, Prairie View A&M's Jacob Holloway and Florida A&M's Sascha Robinson. Bagnall is tied in the fifth spot with Jose Berenguel, of Arkansas-Pine Bluff.
 
Prairie View A&M's Jacob Holloway jumped four spots to grab a share of the individual lead with Florida A&M's Sascha Robinson, both at 2-over par 146s. Miguel Ilas, the Round 1 leader, is one shot back at 147, while Bagnall is tied for third with Southern's Thomas Reid and Arkansas-Pine Bluff's Jose Berenguel. 
 
Alabama A&M came into the day in fourth place after carding an opening-round 307. However, due to heavy winds, the Bulldogs fired a second-round 304 and dropped a spot to fifth place with a 621.
 
Florida A&M continues to lead the field with a 588 after shooting a 294 for the second consecutive day and enters Wednesday's final round with a 14-shot advantage over second-place Arkansas-Pine Bluff (602). Prairie View A&M sits in third with a 609, followed by Texas Southern (620). Southern (628) and Alabama State (643) lock down the final two spots.

Alabama A&M concludes play at the 2025 SWAC Men's Golf Tournament with the final round at 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at Oxmoor Valley.
