BATON ROUGE, La. | It was Anjanae Cressey's world, and we are all just living in it on Monday during the second day of the 2025 Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Men's and Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championships at A.W. Munford Stadium.
Cressey had a huge day for the Alabama A&M women's program, winning the heptathlon and claiming the bronze medal in the high jump.
In the heptathlon, Cressey won the multi-event by more than 200 points to win gold. She recorded 4780 points to earn the win, taking home victories in the high jump and 800m, while claiming second in the 100m hurdles and javelin.
In addition to winning the heptathlon, Cressey captured the bronze medal in the high jump, recording a leap of 1.57m.
On the men's side,
Bravin Kibitok broke his own school record in the 800m prelims. He set a personal and school record in 1:50.45 to qualify for the finals, breaking the previous mark of 1:50.98 set at the Georgia Tech Invitational.

WOMEN'S TRACK
- Sanyae Gibson took the lead late in the 3000m steeplechase, but could not hold off Southern's Doreen Onchangu, taking second with a personal-best time of 11:38.25, while teammate Nevah Carrizal also picked up points for the Bulldogs, placing seventh, with a time 12:38.39
- Laila Gaynor qualified first for the 400m finals, running a top time of 53.92 in the prelims
- Brianna Samuels posted the fourth-fastest time in the 800m prelims, qualifying with a personal-record 2:09.69
- Chelsea Whitehurst just missed qualifying for the 100m hurdles, finishing ninth in the prelims in 14.32
WOMEN'S FIELD
- Abigail Jefferies placed ninth in the heptathlon, logging 3660 points, while Amya Joy finished 11th, with 3356 points.
MEN'S TRACK
- Eric Barker was just three-tenths of a second away from qualifying for the finals of the 110m hurdles, logging a time of 14.49 in the prelims to finish ninth
- Dohnavon Hunt ran a personal-best time of 10.58 in the 100m prelims, qualifying fifth for the finals
- Juan Osorio captured silver in the 3000m steeplechase, recording a time of 9:50.62
MEN'S FIELD
- In the decathlon, Andrew Reaves finished seventh, logging 4565 points
- Patrick Adcock placed fifth in the shot put, with a toss of 15.28m
