Walker Finishes 22nd at NCAA Division I Championships

EUGENE, Ore.| Alabama A&M University junior Justin Walker competed in the long jump on Wednesday night during the opening day of 2026 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships and finished 22nd at Hayward Field.

Walker, the first to Alabama A&M student-athlete to qualify for the championships during the Division I era, didn't start out strong with an unsuccessful attempt in the opening round, but bounced back with a jump of 6.69m in the second round. That mark turned out to be his best as the Birmingham, Ala. native posted a jump of 5.73m in the third to conclude the round.
