THE HILL | The Alabama A&M University baseball team saw its season come to an end on Saturday as the Bulldogs dropped the season finale to Arkansas-Pine Bluff, 7-4, in a Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) game at the Bulldog Baseball Field.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED 
Arkansas-Pine Bluff (19-32 overall, 17-9 SWAC) struck for two runs on three hits in the top of the second inning to grab a 2-0 lead.                                             
 
Alabama A&M (10-40, 2-27) picked up a run in the bottom of the inning to trim the margin.
Charles Morris opened the frame with a double to left center and moved to third on an infield hit by 
Dre Amaral. 
Kylan Duncan drew a walk to load the bases. Morris scored when 
Braxton Brogan reached on a fielder's choice, cutting the deficit to 2-1.
 
The Golden Lions added one run in the fourth, pushing the advantage to 3-1.
 
However, back came AAMU in the bottom of the inning as Duncan singled up the middle with two outs and scored on a double by 
Angel Rivera as the Bulldogs trimmed the margin to 3-2.
 
UAPB picked up one run in the sixth and two more in the seventh for a 6-2 advantage.
 
The Bulldogs closed the gap to 6-3 with one run in the bottom of the seventh.
 
With one down, 
Isaac Castro was hit by a pitch and 
AJ Anderson legged out a double. Morris plated Castro with a ground out to the pitcher.
 
The Golden Lions tacked on one run in the ninth to increase their lead and the Bulldogs tried to rally in the bottom half before coming up short.
 
GAME NOTES
	- Alabama A&M finished with four runs on seven hits, committed two errors and left six on base
- Charles Morris went 2-for-4, with one RBI and one run scored
- Avery Seaton (0-6) started for the Bulldogs, giving up two runs on four hits in two innings
- Bryce Dolce, Edgar Rodriguez and Killian McLaughlin pitched in relief
- Arkansas-Pine Bluff finished with seven runs on 13 hits, had one error and stranded 10 on base
- Jason Moss went 3-for-5, with two runs scored and one RBI
- Jesus Riera was 2-for-3, with three runs scored and two RBI
- Ashton Davis gave up one run on two hits, with three strikeouts and two walks in two innings
- Nate Monceaux (1-0) and Cole Kenyon worked in relief
