Garrett Hicks (played in 2019-23, plays pro in Georgia) led RASHI to a 78-66 victory over the closely-ranked TSU in a derby game in the Georgian Superleague on Tuesday night. Hicks, the game's MVP, scoring a career-best 36 points, along with eight rebounds in 34 minutes. He is averaging 18.9 points, 5.0 boards and 1.6 steals in 22 games.
Olisa Akonobi (played in 2022-23, plays in Mexico) contributed to an easy 93-73 victory against the eighth-ranked Tijuana Zonkeys in the Mexican CIBACOPA last Saturday. He grabbed 11 rebounds, along with eight points and two blocks. This season, Akonobi is averaging 7.2 rebounds, 4.0 points and 1.5 blocks per game.
Desmond Jackson (played in 2006-06, plays pro in the TBL) could not help the Jersey Shore Breaks in falling to the Frederick Flying Cows in the TBL. Jackson, who averages 5.7 points and 4.1 boards, added four points in the loss.
