JACKSONVILLE, Fla. | Laila Gaynor wrapped up her season on Thursday afternoon at the NCAA Division I East First Round by finishing 37
th in the 400 meters.
Gaynor, who found out late last week that she qualified for the NCAA East First Round, competed in the fifth heat during Thursday's opening round at the Jax Track at Hodges Stadium.
The Baltimore, Md. native, who logged a season-best time of 53.08 in winning the Georgia Tech Invitational in April, finished seventh in the heat in 53.72 and ended the day 37
th in the event.
