CARROLLTON, Ga | Czaske Deane scored two goals and helped lead the Alabama A&M University women's soccer team to a 3-2 victory over West Georgia at the University Soccer Field on Thursday.
Alabama A&M (3-6), winners of two straight, and the UWG (1-7) kept it defensive until the 34
th minute, when
Brea Bailey scored a goal in the lower right corner, assisted by
Moriah Watkins, giving Alabama A&M the 1-0 lead.
West Georgia's Kaylen Brown scored the equalizer in the 36
th minute, firing a shot to the left corner.
Alabama A&M started the second half hot as Dean broke the tie in the 51
st minute off an assist by
Albany Rios, giving the Bulldogs a 2-1 lead.
However, the Wolves answered in the 74
th minute when Ava Timberlake assisted on Chiara Lape's goal.
Alabama A&M quickly ended the tie as Deane notched her second goal just two minutes later as Alabama A&M held on for the 3-2 victory.
