AAMU Professional Men’s Basketball Report: February 26

Alabama A&M has 13 former men's basketball players who are currently playing professional basketball.
 
Obie Trotter, who graduated from AAMU in 2006, currently plays professionally in Iceland. He played a crucial role in an 85-70 victory over Breidablik in the Icelandic Division I, the second division of Icelandic basketball. Trotter had seven points and five assists in 29 minutes in helping Hottur Egilsstadir to the win. This season, Trotter is averaging 10.1 points, 4.7 assists, 2.7 rebounds and 1.9 steals.
 
Olisa Akonobi, a 2023 alumnus of the Bulldogs, has been making waves in the Chinese National Basketball League, second division. Recently, he showcased his skills by helping Jiaozuo to a 101-94 win over Guizhou. He posted nine points and four boards in just 11 minutes. 
 
Xavier Brewer, a 2023 graduate of Alabama A&M, is showcasing his skills in the professional basketball league in Malta. He provided a double-double of 15 points and 10 boards for Luxol in a 78-70 loss to Depiro. This season, Brewer is averaging 25.0 points, 11.8 boards and 2.8 assists per game.
