Obie Trotter, a 2006 Alabama A&M graduate, who received the All-SWAC Defensive Player of the Year award that year, currently plays professionally in Iceland. He helped the Hottur Egilsstadir to a 99-77 victory over Selfoss in the Icelandic Division I, the second division, by contributing 10 points, five rebounds, four assists and three steals in 30 minutes. This season, Trotter is averaging 10.2 points, 4.6 assists, 2.9 boards and 1.9 steals.
Nick West, a graduated from Alabama A&M in 2016, is currently playing professionally in Bahrain, and recently showcased his skills in a game for Al-Muharraq. Despite his impressive effort, Al-Muharraq suffered a 107-101 defeat on the road. West, who earned an All-SWAC Second Team selection during his time at AAMU, registered a double-double of 23 points and 11 rebounds. This season, he is averaging 24.7 points, 10.6 boards, 3/3 assists and 1.4 steals.
