BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | The Alabama A&M women's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision to UAB on Saturday afternoon at the Hoover Met Tennis Center. The Bulldogs are now 0-7 overall in the season.Â

The Bulldogs showed resilience in doubles play, highlighted by a strong performance from Tstitsi Mahere and Sofia Sotelo Raya, who secured a 6-4 victory at the No. 2 position to claim AAMU's lone doubles win of the day. However, UAB captured wins at the No. 1 and No. 3 spots to take the doubles point.

In singles competition, Alabama A&M battled across the lineup, earning its lone point at the No. 2 position where Gabrielle Henderson delivered a hard-fought 7-5 victory over UAB's Klara Kajabova.

Despite competitive efforts throughout the match, UAB capitalized in the remaining singles contests to secure the overall 6-1 win.
