THE HILL | The Alabama A&M men's tennis team battled throughout the afternoon but ultimately fell 4-1 to North Alabama on Sunday in non-conference action on the Hill.
The Bulldogs opened the match with a strong showing in doubles play, sweeping all three courts to secure the early advantage. Agustin Marquez and Arnay Pathange earned a 6-4 victory at the No. 1 position, while Juwan Bae and Yin Chih Lan followed with a 6-4 win at No. 2 doubles. At the No. 3 spot, Tasso Moreira and Eduardo De Benedictis Andretta closed out the sweep with a 6-5 victory to give Alabama A&M momentum heading into singles competition.
North Alabama responded in singles play, capturing victories across several courts to turn the match in its favor. The Lions picked up straight-set wins at the No. 2, No. 3, No. 5 and No. 6 positions to secure the match.
Alabama A&M's lone point came from Arnav Pathange at No. 1 singles, who delivered a strong performance with a (6-3, 6-1) victory.

The Bulldogs will be on The Hill to face Cumberland University on Wednesday, March 18th. First serve is scheduled for 1 p.m.
