Walker, Davenport Selected to HBCU All-American Teams

THE HILL | Alabama A&M University women's basketball student-athletes Kalia Walker and Moses Davenport received BOXTOROW HBCU Division I Women's All-American honors on Thursday.
 
Walker was selected to the BOXTOROW HBCU All-American First Team, while Davenport was chosen to the second team.
 
Walker, the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Player of the Week, posted double figures in scoring 21 times this season, including a season-best 31 points in the conference quarterfinal victory over Florida A&M. The Alexander, Ark. native, who earned SWAC All-Tournament honors, is averaging 14.3 points, 2.9 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.5 steals per game.
 
Davenport, who earned SWAC Second Team honors, had 14 double-digit scoring performances and two double-double games this season. The Troy, Ala. native scored a season-high 19 points in a win over Bethune-Cookman during the regular season. She is averaging 10.1 points, 6.2 boards and 1.2 assists per game, while also shooting 56.8 percent from the floor.
