GREENSBORO, N.C. | The Alabama A&M University women's bowling team finished 16
th over the weekend at the Stallings Invitational.
Alabama A&M went 4-9 during tournament play, falling in the bracket round games to Morgan State (4-0), Alabama State (4-1) and Belmont Abbey (4-1).
The Bulldogs opened the weekend with Baker play, defeating North Carolina A&T (957-941) and Coppin State (894-824). AAMU fell to Bryant (960-813), Morgan State (839-777) and Duquesne (834-771).
Alabama A&M went 2-3 on Saturday in traditional play, with victories over Howard (947-781) and Fairleigh Dickinson (947-781). However, the Bulldogs fell to Maryland Eastern Shore (1,080-829), Mount St. Mary's (916-897) and Monmouth (993-786).
Michele Westmoreland paced the Maroon & White during the weekend with a 946, averaging a 189.2 pinfall in five matches.
Alabama A&M concludes the regular season Friday through Sunday (March 6-8) at the Music City Classic at the Smyrna Lanes in Nashville, Tenn.
