THE HILL | Alabama A&M men's tennis secured a convincing 4-1 victory over Alabama State on Saturday afternoon, using a dominant performance in singles play to secure the match on Bulldog home courts.
The match began with Alabama State narrowly claiming the doubles point, winning at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles. Alabama A&M's lone doubles win came from the pairing of Juwan Bae and Yin Chih Lan at the No. 2 position.
The Bulldogs quickly responded in singles, winning five of six courts to take control of the match. Yin Chih Lan delivered a strong straight-set victory at No. 2 singles, while Juwan Bae followed with a dominant win at No. 4. Eduardo de Benedictis Andretta added another point with a straight-set victory at No. 5, and Goran Krivokapic secured a decisive win at No. 6.
Alabama A&M also picked up a three-set victory at No. 3 singles, where Tasso Moreira battled back to claim the match and further extend the Bulldogs' advantage.
Despite a tight contest at the top of the lineup, Alabama A&M's depth proved to be the difference, as the Bulldogs controlled the majority of singles play to earn the 4-1 win.
