TROY, Ala. | The Alabama A&M men's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision to Troy on Saturday afternoon at the Lunsford Tennis Complex.

Alabama A&M opened the match with a strong performance in doubles play, securing the point with victories at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles. Juwan Bae and Yin Chih Lan earned a (6-3) win at No. 2, while Eduardo de Benedictis Andreta and Tasso Moreira followed with a (7-5) victory at No. 3 to give the Bulldogs an early edge. 

In singles competition, Troy responded by winning all six matches to pull away for the team victory. 

Eduardo de Benedictis Andreta also forced a third set at No. 5 singles, winning the opening set before Troy rallied to take the final two sets. Despite the early momentum in doubles, Alabama A&M was unable to carry it over into singles play.

The Bulldogs will be on the road to face Alcorn in Montgomery, Alabama on Sunday, March 29th. First serve is scheduled for 1 p.m.
