BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | Alabama A&M University tight end Travaunta Abner and defensive back Amahni Spinks have been invited to participate in the Magic City Pro Day at UAB's Legacy Pavilion on Thursday.
 
Abner, a 2026 Phil Steele All-SWAC First Team performer and an Allstate HBCU Legacy Bowl invitee, was a huge asset to the Bulldogs' passing game last season, catching 35 passes for 380 yards, along with three touchdowns. 
 
He averaged 10.9 yards per catch and 38.0 yards per game. In addition, the Lanett, Ala. native, who received HBCU College Football All-American honors by BOXTOROW and an All-SWAC First Team selection, registered 104 receiving yards, including a game-sealing 21-yarder in a 23-21 victory over Tennessee State. Abner also recorded a season-high nine catches for 102 yards at Bethune-Cookman.
 
Spinks saw limited action last season for the Maroon & White, posting four tackles, including two against Jackson State. Before Alabama A&M, Spinks played at Kentucky State and UAB. The Huntsville, Ala. native was invited to attend and showcase his skills at the National Scouting Combine. 
 
The Magic City Pro Day will feature players from the FCS, Division II, Division III and NAIA level and begins at 10:55 a.m. The players will test in the 40-yard dash, pro agility, L drill and broad jump.
