Alabama A&M Set for Home Opener Versus Miles College

THE HILL | Alabama A&M University football returns home Saturday as the Bulldogs welcome Miles College to Louis Crews Stadium for the 16th Annual Louis Crews Classic.

Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. at Louis Crews Stadium, with the game televised on SWAC TV.

Saturday marks the 22nd meeting between Alabama A&M and Miles and just the third matchup since AAMU moved to Division I. The series began in 1962, with the Bulldogs holding an 18-3 advantage and winning the past two meetings. Miles' last victory in the series came in 1998.

Alabama A&M (0-1) will look for a faster start after falling behind 13-0 against Howard last Saturday in the MEAC/SWAC Challenge. The Bulldogs begin a three-game homestand before opening conference play Sept. 26 at Florida A&M.

Miles also enters the weekend at 0-1 after falling on the road to Alcorn State. The Golden Bears will face their second consecutive Southwestern Athletic Conference opponent before opening SIAC play next week at home against Edward Waters.

The game will air live on SWAC TV with Mo Carter (play-by-play), Charles Porter (analyst) and Thai Floyd (sideline) on the call. Fans can also listen on WJAB 90.9 FM, with Chauncy Sanders handling play-by-play and Maurice Brooks serving as analyst.
