THE HILL | Alabama A&M University head men's basketball coach Donte' Jackson has added another outstanding honor to his collection as the Bulldogs' first-year head coach was named the Hoopshd.com Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Coach of the Year.
 
Jackson, who is a finalist for the Skip Prosser Man of the Year Award, has guided Alabama A&M to new heights this season as the program has a winning record for the first time in more than 20 years. 
 
The Bulldogs concluded the regular season with a 17-14 overall record and 10-8 in SWAC play. In addition, AAMU won 12 times at home this season, surpassing previous marks at the Division I level of 11 victories (three times).

Alabama A&M turns its attention to the 2026 SWAC Men's Basketball Tournament as the Bulldogs, the No. 5 seed, open play in the quarterfinals against fourth-seeded Texas Southern at 1 p.m. (CT) on Thursday at the Gateway Center Arena in Atlanta, Ga.
