MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Lukas Lange carded a 2-under-par 142 and
Kourey Patterson shot even par on Monday as the Alabama A&M University men's golf team sits in second place after two rounds of the ASU Spring Classic at the Arrowhead Country Club.
Lange, who is fifth overall with a 142, was 1 over during the open round but caught fire in the second round. He carded four birdies on the front nine and one on the back nine, while accounting for two bogeys. Patterson, who sits in sixth at 144, had three birdies and three bogeys in the first round and recorded four birdies and four bogeys during the second round to shoot even par.
Vicente Rodriguez is tied for ninth, registering a 147, while
Samuel Boddie is tied for 12
th with a 148.
James Fujita rounds out the team scoring with a 150.
Florida A&M's Phalatphon Viboonviriyaskul and Alabama State's Robert Woods are tied for first at 9 under. Daniil Romashkin and Jamison Ousley, both from Evansville, are tied for third at 3 under.
The Bulldogs are within striking distance through two rounds. Alabama A&M finished the day at 5-over par 581 and is second, while Florida A&M leads the field with a 574. Evansville is third, with a 582, followed by Arkansas-Pine Bluff (584), Alabama State (584), Southern (607) and Jackson State (616).
